DRIVING POSITION: LEFT-HAND DRIVE (2/2)

1 Side air vent.
2 Stalk for:
– direction indicator lights;
– exterior lights;
– front fog lights;
– rear fog lights.
3 Instrument panel.
4 Driver ’s Airbag location, horn, cruise control/speed limiter con- trols.
5 – Radio remote control.
– Hands-free telephone integrated control.
6 Stalk for:
– windscreen and rear screen wash/wipe;
– trip computer and warning system information readout.
7 Ignition switch (vehicle with key).
8 Centre air vents.
9 Warning lights for:
– driver’s seat belt warning light;
– deactivating the front passenger
airbag.
10 Display (depending on the vehicle) of time, temperature, radio infor- mation, navigation system infor- mation, etc.
11 Heating or air conditioning con- trols.

Pull handle 9 to open it.
Depending on the vehicle, this storage compartment is ventilated and air con- ditioned in the same way as the pas- senger compartment.

Ensure that no hard, heavy or pointed objects are placed in the “open” storage compartments in such a way that they may fall onto passen- gers during sudden turning, braking
or in the event of an accident.

Remove the fuse using tweezers 2, lo- cated on the cover.
To remove the fuse from the tweezers, slide the fuse to the side.
It is not advisable to use the free fuse locations.
Fuses
Check the fuse in question and replace it, if neces- sary, by a fuse of the same rating.
If a fuse is fitted with too high a rating, it may cause the electrical circuit to overheat (risk of fire) in the event of an item of equipment using an excessive amount of current.

If electrical equipment does not work, check the condition of the fuses.
Depending on the vehicle, open the cover to the right of the steering wheel or the glove box.
To identify the fuses, refer to the fuse allocation sticker (shown on the follow- ing page).

In accordance with local legislation or as a precautionary measure:
obtain an emergency kit containing a set of spare bulbs and fuses from an approved Dealer.
